Call sheets

Call sheet sections

Build a call sheet from sections — header, schedule, location, talent, crew, and custom notes.

A call sheet is made of sections — building blocks you add, arrange, and edit. This lets every call sheet be exactly as detailed as it needs to be, and lets you show different sections to different people. You build them in the call sheet editor.

The section types

  • Header — the top-line details for the day, filled in from the call sheet's information. There's one per sheet.
  • Schedule — the timed plan of what happens when.
  • Location — where to go.
  • Crew — who's on the crew.
  • Talent — cast, with their call and pickup details: name, role, call time, pickup time and location, and notes.
  • Custom — free-form notes for anything else you want to include.

Where sections come from

Sections come from two places, and it changes how they behave when your plan changes:

  • Derived sections — schedule, location, and crew are built from your timeline and bookings. These can be refreshed when your plan moves on — see Re-seeding a call sheet. Their row shows an auto tag.
  • Manual sections — talent, custom notes, and anything you type by hand. These are yours; refreshing a call sheet never overwrites them.

If you hand-edit a derived section, your edit is treated as manual (its row shows an edited tag) and is preserved too.

Adding and arranging sections

Use + Add section ▾ to add a Talent or Custom section — the schedule, location, and crew sections appear automatically when you build from the timeline, and the header is always present. Reorder any section with Move up and Move down, and remove one you don't need with its × control. The order you set is the order recipients see.

Who sees which sections

You don't have to show every section to everyone. When you share a call sheet, you choose which sections each recipient or group sees — a client might see only the schedule and location, while crew see everything. That's handled by shares and share templates. See Sharing a call sheet.
