Re-seeding a call sheet

Refresh a call sheet's derived sections from your latest plan.

A call sheet's schedule, location, and crew sections can be built from your timeline. Re-seeding refreshes those derived sections from your latest plan.

The concept

Derived sections hold their own saved version — they only change when you re-seed them. How scheduling works explains why.

When to re-seed

A call sheet whose derived sections no longer match the plan is flagged as out of sync, with a prompt to refresh it. The editor's header strip shows what it was Last seeded from. This is normal — it just means your plan moved on after the call sheet was built.

Refreshing a call sheet

Use Re-seed all on the call sheet to open the re-seed dialog. It works like the one for bookings:

Choose the source — the live timeline or a snapshot.

Review the changes — a table shows each entry that would change, with its current value, what it would become, and the difference.

Confirm — only then do the derived sections update.

Your manual sections are safe. Re-seeding only touches the derived sections (schedule, location, crew). Talent, custom notes, and anything you hand-edited are left exactly as they are. See Call sheet sections.

Doing several at once

When several call sheets are out of sync, you can select and re-seed them together from the call sheets list. To push changes across bookings and call sheets in one go, use Propagate from the timeline. See Propagating changes.
