Creating an account
How to sign up, confirm your email, and complete onboarding as an individual freelancer or a business.
Getting started takes a few minutes: create your login, confirm your email, and answer a short set of questions that set CrewGrid up the way you'll use it.
Go to the sign-up page and fill in three fields:
- Full Name
- Password (at least 8 characters)
Then click Sign Up.

CrewGrid sends a confirmation link to your email, and you'll see a Check your email message. Open the email and click the link to activate your account. (If you already have an account, use Sign in instead.)
Onboarding: how will you use CrewGrid?
The first time you sign in, a short wizard asks a few questions. The first one matters most:
How will you use CrewGrid?
- Individual — just you: a freelancer, crew member, or solo operator. Manage bookings and build a profile.
- Business — a production company, agency, or studio. Manage projects and a team of collaborators.
Your choice decides the rest of the wizard. You're not locked in forever — a freelancer can still be added to organizations later, and you can create an organization down the line — but pick the one that describes your main use.

If you chose Individual
Tell us a bit about you:
- Display name (required) — how you'll appear to producers.
- Location — start typing your city; only your city is shown publicly, your full address stays private.
- Skills — what you do, separated by commas (for example "Cinematographer, Sound, Drone Operator").
- Make my profile findable on the marketplace — tick this if you want producers to be able to discover you.
Choose your plan: pick Free or Pro. Free lands you straight in your personal space; Pro starts a 14-day free trial and takes you to checkout (see Plans and trials). Click Finish for Free, or continue to checkout for Pro.
If you chose Business
Business details:
- Business name (required) — CrewGrid suggests a web address (slug) from it automatically.
- Legal / registered name (required) — used on contracts and invoices.
Choose a plan: pick Free, Starter, Professional, or Enterprise (see Plans and trials). Click Create organization for Free, or continue to checkout for a paid plan to start your 14-day trial.

Joining an organization by invitation
If someone invites you to their organization, you'll get an email with a link. Opening it shows who invited you and the role you'll have. If you're already signed in with the matching email, click Join organization. If you're signed in with a different account, CrewGrid tells you and lets you switch. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one from the invitation. See Your team and roles for the producer's side of invitations.
