Archiving a project

Wrap a production by archiving it — it becomes read-only and stops counting toward your project limit.

When a production is finished, you archive its project. Archiving keeps everything for the record but takes the project out of your active list — which also frees up a project slot on your plan.

What archiving does

  • The project becomes read-only. You can still open it and look at the budget, timeline, bookings, and call sheets, but you can't change them.
  • It stops counting toward your active-project limit, so you can start a new project without upgrading.
  • It moves into the Archived list on the Projects page, so it's out of the way but never lost.

How to archive

Open the project's Settings.

At the bottom, in the Danger zone, choose Archive project.

Confirm — CrewGrid reminds you the project will become read-only and won't count toward your limit — then choose Yes, archive.

Only Owners and Admins see the Danger zone and can archive a project.

Finding archived projects

On the Projects page, archived projects live under an Archived section beneath your active ones. Open it to review past productions any time.
