The project overview

Read your project at a glance — budget totals, crew status, recent activity, and key crew.

The Overview is your project's home page — a dashboard that tells you where the production stands without opening every tool. Open a project and you land here (it's also the Overview entry in the project sidebar).

What's on it

  • A hero strip at the top: the project title, its status, how long until (or since) the shoot wraps, the date range, the currency, the standard day length, and a Settings button.
  • Key crew — the headline people on the production: Director, Producer, DOP, Client, and Product. Only the ones you've filled in appear.
  • Status tiles — one each for Budget, Timeline, and Staffing (when those tools are on):
    • Budget — the total, with Allocated and Actual figures and any drift.
    • Timeline — how many snapshots you've saved, and the latest one.
    • Staffing — confirmed bookings out of the total, plus counts of pending, declined, and awaiting re-confirmation.
  • Quick actions — a link into each tool the project uses, plus Documents.
  • Project activity — a running feed of what's happened: snapshots saved, bookings confirmed, declined, or awaiting re-confirmation, and call sheets published or updated.
  • Side cards — a Budget summary (subtotal, markup, grand total, Allocated, Actual) and a Crew summary (confirmed, pending, declined, open roles), each linking through.

Reading it well

The overview is designed to surface what needs attention. A drift figure on the budget tile or a count of bookings awaiting re-confirmation are gentle prompts that your plan has moved on and some artifacts need catching up — see How scheduling works. None of it is an emergency; it's just the state of play.
