Project settings
Change project details, budget shape, booking and timeline defaults, and Live mode.
Every project has its own settings, reached from Settings in the project sidebar (or the Settings button on the overview). They're grouped into tabs; you'll only see tabs for the tools this project uses.
Details
The Details tab holds the basics:
- Project title.
- Shoot start and Shoot end dates.
- Domestic currency.
- Key crew — Client, Product, Director, Producer, and DOP.
Click Save changes to apply.
Budget
The Budget tab (shown when the Budget tool is on) sets how the budget calculates:
- Budget input shape — either PSW (Prep / Shoot / Wrap: three columns for the phases of a shoot) or Factor (a single multiplier). See Rates, fees, and markup.
- Markup % — your standard margin percentage.
- Surcharges — named percentage add-ons such as KSK.
- Foreign currency — a second currency and its exchange rate.
Booking & timeline
The Booking & timeline tab (shown when Timeline or Staffing is on) sets the defaults for how new bookings and call sheets behave:
- Live mode — when on, CrewGrid holds back its automatic email notifications, and you tick Notify yourself on every re-seed. Turn it on while you're still shaping a plan — a typical use is during shoot days — and off when you're ready for CrewGrid to notify people about material changes.
- Default source for new bookings & call sheets — whether new bookings and call sheets are built from the Live timeline or the Last snapshot by default.
- Pre-check the "Notify" box — whether the Notify option is ticked by default in the re-seed dialog.
- Default billing unit — Full day, Hourly, or Mixed.
- Default day length (hours) — the standard number of hours in a working day.
- Timeline date format — how each day reads on the timeline (Compact, Numeric, or Long).
Click Save settings to apply. These are the defaults new bookings and call sheets inherit, and what the re-seed flow starts from — see Re-seeding bookings.
Modules
The Modules tab lets you add tools to a project. See Choosing project tools.
Archiving
At the bottom, in the Danger zone, Owners and Admins can archive the project when it's finished. See Archiving a project.
